Budget Overview:
Another tough budget year for Ogden City.
Growing cost of living expenses are expected to easily out pace Ogden City revenue sources.
Therefore, the City Administration has had to find approximately $1.5 million in decreased expenditures
to balance the budget.
Total Revenues budgeted for the 2007 fiscal year are just under $102 million. This budget reflects a
projected 6.96% increase over last year generated from expected new growth. Total expenses are
projected to increase 8.75% mostly based upon such things as auto fuel, heating fuel, legislative
mandated retirement increases, etc, which we largely have no control over.
This budget also currently includes The Administration's recommendation of a 5% merit and a one-time
bonus of 2% replacing the traditional COLA for all three employee groups in the city.
