Asset Control Program
Overview  Posted 10/12/06
The asset control program is a recent cooperative effort between Ogden City and The Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  Through the program, Ogden City has committed to purchase
a certain number of dilapidated HUD houses each year that are located in the East Central area of

project is even complete.

In this way, we have stopped the ongoing cycle of badly declining homes in many of our neighborhoods.
Instead of these houses getting worse and worse, Ogden City and the Federal Government have
teamed up to invest dollars back into our housing stock helping to keep Ogden a unique and beautiful
place to live.

The Community & Economic Development Department in the city call it "Home Sweet Ogden".  This
successful program has already had a powerful impact on many of our central neighborhoods and I
expect that it will have many positive impacts in the future.
